SwirlingFire: Kindness is a River
Kindness is a River
Kindness is a River that quenches the land
Kindness is a River that extends a hand
Kindness is a River that flows across clay
Kindness is a River that will find its own way
Kindness is a River that gathers speed
Kindness is a River that everyone needs
Kindness is a River that nourishes the soul
Kindness is a River that never grows old
Kindness is a River that is pro LGBTQ+
Kindness is a River that costs nothing for You
Kindness is a River that blends without seams
Kindness is a River that offers new dreams
Kindness is a River that offers hope for new life
Kindness is a River that soothes Bush fire strife
Kindness is a River that flows without pay
Kindness is a River that should flow easily each day
Kindness is a River taken for granted
Kindness is a River that’s rarely cold shouldered
Kindness is a River that meanders through rough terrain
Kindness is a River that changes the game
Kindness is a River that does not know your name
Kindness is a River that reaches through distance
Kindness is a River with a life long existence
Kindness is a River that etches deep spaces
Kindness is a River devoid of “airs and graces”
Kindness is a River that is an ellipsis of giving
Kindness is a River that never impacts salary income
Kindness is a River that’s entwined through tears
Kindness is a River that repeats ripple refrains
Kindness is a River that wants unstructured reach
Kindness is a River that breaches class breach
Kindness is a River that won’t discriminate the masses
Kindness is a River that ebbs and flows
Kindness is a River you’ll miss when it’s goes
Kindness is a River that continues it’s course
Kindness is a River that hydrates “the lost”
Kindness is a River for some too high a cost
Kindness is a River discharging its strength
Kindness is a River of indeterminate length
Kindness is a River that ebbs and flows,
walking it’s banks,
paddlers arrive and then go
Kindness is a River that flows through the home,
some houses are flooded whilst many are barren with stone
Kindness is a River that shows on your face
The surface, animated ripples, that linger, a reprieve
Passengers that travel its length to receive
Tourists that visit
Always take, never give
Quenching their needs
Then desert
Until their next crash
Never repaying their deficit stash
Those that embrace this elixir of life
They journey alone
Feeling other’s pain twice
First from the splash of drowning alone
Second reading “Be kind” memes from reverse hose pipes that suck supplies dry.
The River of Kindness will forever flow
It travels along side us
Wherever we go
You will witness the bold acts of strangers without faces
To push someone in
When will you change places?

a beautiful poem. you’re very talented when it comes to writing poems. i am not a kind person, I wish I was but I’m too much of a self-adsorbed person.

Beautiful poem, and kindness indeed is a river… and it takes so little to be kind to others.

It doesn’t take much at all, youd think it would be automatic.
Unfortunate I’m far too aware of people with exceptionally dry feet 🤷♀️
