A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 9, The Whirling Conscious

“Let the mind wander as it will.” That’s a phrase I’ve heard a lot.  She uses it towards the end of an induction so that the separation between my conscious and sub-conscious is more distinct.  It’s the instruction for the conscious to go mind it’s own business whilst she talks to the sub-conscious.

Confidence Is Everything

As we hurtle through life we navigate it in light of our fears.  We restrict ourselves to taking the safe path to avoid crippling anxiety.

Beyond Trust

I tend to get caught up in semantics and precisely what a word means to me.  Lately my thoughts have turned to the word vulnerable and it’s sibling, vulnerability and how my changing perceptions relate to another key word, trust.

2018 – Perhaps Better Than I Thought

I wasn’t going to go all retrospective about 2018 until I thought that in some ways it’s been quite momentous and that I need to acknowledge and celebrate that.

Time Rendered Meaningless

The last brainwashing session completely destroyed my sense of time.  It was no accident, she designed it that way and although outcomes with hypnosis are far from being guaranteed, her design succeeded quite spectacularly.

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 8, Scrambling Time Sense

I’ve been experiencing the brainwashing sessions for a year, there are a number evolutions over that time as both of us have learned so much. The key word for this post is TIME.

Will Everybody Please STFU

There’s a right of passage when the 18th birthday is looming.  It’s time to swagger up to the door of the local night club and attempt to get in without being quizzed.  Back then they weren’t bothered about underage drinking so long as it wasn’t too obvious. So having found myself inside the den of pleasure it all… Read More »

Emotions: Shaken And Stirred

Emotions !!  I fear it’s a topic I will return to again and again. Emotional responses are my clearest means to understanding the flux of melody being in the ascendant. There is an “I” composed of “him” and “melody” along a spectrum.  For the longest time it was comprised almost entirely of “him”.  To the extent that it’s… Read More »

The Obscure Venn Diagram of Norman Collier & Hypnosis.

Who can remember hiding under the bed sheets trying to tune in a transistor radio ?  For some it would have been Radio Luxembourg, for me more likely to be a football commentary from across the continent.  Keeping a medium wave station in sync was an art form. Forty-five years later I sometimes think that we haven’t really… Read More »

Emotional Content

That’s part of a famous line uttered by Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. If there’s one thing that makes melody easier to identify in the swings and roundabouts of daily life it is in the expression of emotions. Emotion and me have had a rocky relationship over the years.  We kind of gave up on each other… Read More »

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 7, To Surrender Is To Win

I have an unexpected quiet day which gives me some leisure to put a few things in better and broader context.  The last brainwashing and hypnosis sessions have had effects that I’m still processing and learning.  On the back of a fresh foundation of submission, service and obedience driven deeper than ever in the brainwashing, the following hypnosis… Read More »

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 6, Don’t Panic

I wrote a few days ago on the sudden decision to wear heeled boots to work (Little Steps for Big Steps).  Really I’d love to be able to wear court shoes with 4″ stilettos but that’s not going to happen any time soon. There’s quite a few things now where an aspect of melody rounds off the male… Read More »

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 5, Crumbling Barriers

There’s a common wish fulfilment myth about hypnosis that at the swing of a watch or the snap of a finger that you can be instantly made into somebody or something new.  For someone who is struggling this seems to be a deceptively simple solution to all their problems.  Instead it can seriously add to the problems.

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 4, Where’s the Oblivion Switch ?

Continuing with this occasional series, I thought I’d touch on one of my strange perceptions from within the tranced state.

The Leisure of Slow Bondage

I love bondage, confinement and sensory deprivation.  The tighter the bondage, the greater the feelings of restraint and there are so many variations in how it can be implemented. When it comes to canes, whips and other means of inflicting pain and raising endorphins the mind is very focused on dealing with the immediacy of the pain and… Read More »

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 3, Whose Thoughts Are They ?

To continue this occasional series, I thought I’d touch on a common misperception about hypnosis.  It’s the idea that the subject must be so weak-willed that they are overcome by the hypnotist and subject to their will and the suggestions or thoughts implanted by hypnosis.

Ponderings on a Purity of Submission

What is this submission thing ?  What does it actually mean ? Not so long ago I woke up in the middle of the night with my mind whirling like a tornado as it latched on to these questions.  Sometimes hypnosis is very subtle in the way it can work on the mind.  This was a less than… Read More »

A Personal Journey Through D/s Hypnosis – Part 2, The Sub-Conscious

The sub-conscious is a fantastic thing to explore and I’m still not really sure what it actually is.  In recognising what I call my sub-conscious it has certainly given me more understanding and confidence both with hypnosis and beyond.

D/s Hypnosis – Where’s the Limit ?

My original series of posts for PainAsPleasure was recently reposted on this blog  MELODY’S STORY – part 3, hypnosis in BDSM and I am very grateful to one concerned commenter with whom there was a wonderful conversation allowing me to expand on the safety aspects that aren’t apparent in the posts on hypnosis.

A Different Type of Session

The only time I’ve ever known, even on only the most general level, as to what a session will include is the time she was breaking a hard limit and introducing me to needle play
